In today’s Gospel reading from Luke 11:1-13, Jesus not only teaches his disciples to pray, he encourages them to be persistent in their prayer. Jesus promised that if they “ask, it will be given; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened”.
Pastor Beth reminded us we can pray to God in many ways…through music and song, walking the labyrinth, creating pottery, experiencing nature and even through riding horses! And we are especially reminded that our loving care for others is a prayer as well.
Our conversations with God change us. We begin to see things from God’s perspective rather than our own. Our focus shifts from ourselves to other loved children of God. And we are strengthened.
