Meet new members Jim and Sharon Lochner.
Jim grew up in Sunnyside, Washington. He is employed by Trader Joe’s as a forklift driver in the warehouse, while he continues to apply for work at a state agency. Sharon grew up in Vancouver, Washington. She is retired and has gone back to work at COSTCO as a product demonstrator. Sharon has brought 2 children, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter to this union. Jim has three children, 6 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.
The Lochners love to go camping and always have a flower and vegetable garden. They also have 3 dogs and 3 birds to keep them busy!
Both Jim and Sharon had attended other churches before they became a couple. Jim and Sharon say they “felt right at home from day one” at St. Mark. They enjoy the environment created by the staff and members and describe it as “epitomizing a close family”. They also appreciate the outreach of the church to others less fortunate. Jim and Sharon look forward to spending more time with their new church family.
Next time you run into The Lochners, give them a warm St. Mark welcome and find out about those birds! And, in case you missed it, Jim and Sharon brought a wonderful clam chowder (with personally hand-dug clams!) to one of our Advent Suppers this month. Thanks, Jim and Sharon, for that delicious contribution.
And WELCOME to St. Mark!
