Mark 5:21-43 Gospel tells the story of two people who believed in Jesus’s power to heal and bring life out of death.
One, a man with riches and power, begs Jesus to leave the crowds he is surrounded by and heal his daughter and the other is an unclean woman, who knows if she can just touch the garment that Jesus is wearing, she will be healed.
Pastor Norm Arnold explained to us that Mark’s gospels were at one time considered simple until it was discovered that they use the chiastic structure. There is a much deeper meaning to them.
We that have much are called to help others that have so little.
We that have heard the Good News are to go and share that with others.
We dare to touch Jesus in our “uncleanness” and to live as a community that defines no one as an outsider.
Know that God goes wherever we go and is accessible, able and always there for us.
