For all those who worshiped with us last Sunday, you saw the beautiful quilts done by the women of St. Mark’s Quilting Ministry and helped take part in the blessing of the quilts. On Wednesday, the quilts were boxed up and shipped and will eventually be distributed around the world through Lutheran World Relief. A total of 62 quilts (60” x 80”) were shipped. An additional 4 were bought with the monies helping to defray shipping costs. Keep in mind another 6 quilts were given to our High School graduates and then probably another 3-5 were given to families in need. Thank you to all – a small, but mighty gathering of five to six women – who shared in the handiwork to put together at least 75 quilts.
