The Liturgical Art is signaling the beginning of Advent 2016. Josh E. is our resident artist and Week One is a simple yet beautiful depiction of the four Advent candles. Each week the picture will be added to, with the final product revealed on Christmas Eve.
Many activities are scheduled during the Advent season so mark your calendar and join us for all the festivities:
Each Wednesday (Nov.30, December 7, 14, &21) is an Advent potluck followed by Holden Vespers – 5:45pm Advent potluck, and 6:30pm Holden Vespers. Please bring a dish to share.
Sunday December 4th – Advent Fair at 9:45am (between services) Come make a swag or wreath, an ornaments or two, and other Christmas crafts.
Sunday December 18th at 11am – Children’s Christmas program.
Sunday December 18th at 5pm. ‘The Art of Christmas” – a musical and artistic celebration with a potluck to follow (please bring a dish to share).
Saturday December 24th – Two Christmas Eve Celebrations. 5pm – Family Service with candlelight and Holy Communion, and 10pm – Choral Service with candlelight and Holy Communion
Sunday December 25th – Christmas Day Worship – 10am Festive Service of Lessons and Carols
Sunday January 1st – New Year’s Day Worship – one service at 10am
