Today we hear the story of the rich man and Lazarus in the gospel.
This is the only parable where someone is given a name.
The rich man didn’t pay attention to Lazarus. He was indifferent to him.
The truth is, we pass Lazarus every day. How are we going to respond?
We need to talk in church about real life–about how we live together on this earth.
Wealth, religion and status are causing a chasm in our society. How are we, as people of faith, going to respond?
Every one can do something because God created us to be helpmates to each other and to live together as brothers and sisters. To live in true community.
We beg God to renew our hearts each and every day.
How are you being called to live God’s love today?
