Our St. Mark Championship Trophy-winning Co-ed Intergenerational Softball Team has started off the season with a huge bang! The energy and dedication demonstrated on Friday, June 3, was something to behold. And that was just the FANS!
Seriously, the players were spot on. The whole Utto-Galarneau family got on base and scored; daughter Grace had a spectacular night with 3 home runs (one with bases loaded, two with two on base), two triples and a double. Amanda C was “on fire at First”, catching everything thrown to her, and her at bats were great too. Our new players had a good first showing. And our returning players gave their all. The game was called (for time) in the 5th inning, with a score of 29 to 3.
In an interview after the game, Third Base Coach, Darrin L. shared his comments. He said his arms were very tired from waving in all our base runners to home plate for a score.
It was ROUSING! It was EXCITING! It was a wonderful way to spend a warm summer evening. Plan to come out to the beautiful Regional Athletic Center to show your support for our team. The team plays Friday evenings; the exact times are posted on the bulletin board outside Pastor Eric’s office.
