On this, Holy Trinity Sunday, Pastor Eric gave us many images of the trinity. There is the familiar “Father, Son and Holy Ghost”. But what about “Creator, Liberator and Advocator”, or “Baker of the Bread, the Breadstick, and the Server”?
We all have powerful images of God and we use those things around us as reminders that God is ever-present in our lives. Here at St. Mark, we recently have initiated the CLEAN KIDS project. “Unaccompanied Children” in the North Thurston School District will have the opportunity to use laundry facilities planned for installation on our property. This is a perfect example of “God’s Work, Our Hands”. And so we see another image of the trinity…”Washer, Dryer and Re-newer”.
We have received an unexpected gift to assist in this outreach…to help us “accompany” these children. Click on the link below to hear how God is listening to their needs and advocating for them through us.
Remember, always stay open to new images of God…and as Pastor Eric says, “try some on for size”!
