On this Third Sunday of Advent we have no mention of shepherds nor angels but of John the Baptist who was a voice of one crying out in the wilderness pointing us to Jesus.
Pastor Beth read Andrew King’s poem ‘Voice of John’ and suggested that at this time of year, when we have long, cold, dark nights and often foggy days, we need to hear the voice of John.
The Light always shines in the darkness and the Light of the World, Christ, comes not as we expect it but as we need it.
