This Sunday, we enter into the season of Advent. Advent is a season of waiting, watching, and longing. We see the despair in our world. Our world is not the way God created it to be. We are not who God created us to be. We long for hope. We long for healing. We long for the light of Christ’s love to shine in the darkness of our world and in the darkness of our own lives.
Please join us as we light a candle in our Advent wreath–a fragile sign of hope–and remember that Christ comes to us in the gift of Emmanuel. We gather for Advent worship on Sundays November 30, December 7, 14, and 21 at 8:30 and 11:00 and on Wednesdays, December 3, 10, and 17 at 5:45 for a potluck dinner and at 6:30 for Holden Vespers.
