We welcome you to “God’s Work Our Hands” Sunday, this Sunday, September 7th at St. Mark! We are gathering food (and/or monetary donations) for the Thurston County Food Bank. The Food Bank especially needs protein items such as canned meats, chili, canned beans, legumes, and peanutbutter. Also popular is dried pasta (a jar of pasta sauce is nice addition!). Last year we gathered over 3000 pounds of food—let’s do it again! Maybe even more!!!
On this day, we also return to two worship services (both with Holy Communion) at 8:30 and 11:00. The bells will ring and the choir will sing! It will be a great morning of worship and praise to God! We”ll take all that loose change off your hand too! The children are collecting a “noisy” offering during both services. These funds will be given to the Food Bank.
In between services, beginning at 9:45 and finishing up by 10:45, we are having a potluck brunch. Bring a brunch item to share! Stay after first service or come early to second service for food and fellowship!
Sunday School resumes next week, Sunday, September 14 at 9:45 for children and 10:00 for adults.
See you Sunday at St. Mark!
