The Second Sunday of Easter brought us John’s gospel (20:19-31) of Jesus appearing to his disciples. One of their number is missing and his unbelief prompts another visit from the Lord.
Even as the early Christians proclaimed the resurrection, we should rejoice daily in the new birth and living hope we received in our baptism.
Today was also Endowment Sunday. We celebrated our ability to disperse funds to help groups within St Mark, the surrounding community, and worldwide.
Ken Lindholm, a member of the Endowment Committee, read the gospel and spoke to us during the sermon time about the “choose to lose” method of living your life. To learn how that can work for you, click on the link below to hear more about this philosophy. Listen as Ken ties this philosophy into the “Message of Giving” and the “Easter Story”.
