St. Mark Community Garden 2014

Even though the weather is rainy and soggy, the Garden Committee has been hard at work!  The field has been amended with Mushroom compost, rototilled and the first planting day will be Sunday March 16th during the Sunday School Hour.  Snap peas will be planted by Brent and the Sunday School kids and anyone else is invited to wear garden clothes to church and help!

The Thurston County Food Bank has asked that we plant some carrots along with our potatoes so we will reduce our potato rows  to allow for carrots.  We will also grow broccoli, cabbage, corn, squash, green beans, and a smaller variety of other vegetables.

POTATO PLANTING WILL BE ON SATURDAY APRIL 6TH AT 9AM.

Raised beds are available for adoption for the 2014 season.  You can obtain one by printing the garden application and garden guidelines from the Community Garden page.   Fill them out and drop them at the church office.

We always need help in the garden so if you would like to get involved  please contact Gail F or Brent.  Thanks!Community Garden July 2013
