Banners on the church wall proclaim Advent this year. The first Sunday Isaiah was placed as he was the one to foretell the Savior’s birth. The Second Sunday King David was added as Jesus was of the house and lineage of King David. The third Sunday John the Baptist was placed – “old Locust breath” as David Nelson used to call him. John wandered in the wilderness baptizing with water as he proclaimed that someone far greater than he was coming to save the world. Come to worship tomorrow to see what is in store for us on the 4th Sunday in Advent! Thanks once again to David Nelson, retired Pastor, for his wonderful artwork.
