All 20 rows of potatoes were hilled today, all rows were weeded, and the peas were picked. It was a beautful, sunny, warm morning, and we had a GREAT turn-out. The SMOGS were helpful on Thursday by taking care of 4 rows, and the rest got done today.
Mike D. brought his brush hog and mowed down all the weeds around the field. Brent was like a kid in a candy shop with the new little rototiller and tilled between all the rows so hilling was simpler.
We keep telling you that God is in the garden and about a dozen folks felt that today as they worked together on this wonderful project for The Thurston County Food Bank.
