Ahoy, mate!
The St. Mark Steward-ship is preparing to set sail and preparations are being made for the campaign to launch the great ship “Steward.”
Steward-ship Campaign: Sunday, May 12 through June 9, the Steward-ship campaign will feature temple talks, children’s sermons, and sermons to inform, encourage, and prepare us for the launch and voyage of Steward-ship. Handouts and devotional material will be provided for each member and each family to use as we prayerfully consider our commitment to gifts for the voyage.
Preparing for Boarding and Departure: Each member and each family will receive a Commitment Card to fill out identifying:
1. The talents and gifts you currently use in your service at St. Mark and in the community.
2. The talents and gifts you would want to further develop for use in your service at St. Mark and in the community.
3. Your current financial commitment to St. Mark.
4. Your commitment to an increase in giving.
Boarding, Festivities, and Bon Voyage Departure Party: On Sunday, June 9 (following worship), have your Commitment Card “ticket” in hand as you board the great ship “Steward”. It is your boarding pass, allowing entrance to the departure festivities and Bon Voyage Party. Festivities will include the Annual Congregational Meeting with the Bon Voyage Party immediately following.
We’ll be looking forward to seeing you all on this fabulous journey!
