Mark your calendars for Cinco de Mayo, May 5, for the youth-led fiesta and fundraiser for UNICEF’s K.I.N.D. (Kids In Need of Desks). This event will consist of three parts:
TACO FEED
Right after the 11:00 service on May 5, bring your appetite to the Parish Hall for a plateful of build-your-own tacos. You just need to: Sign up on the poster in the hallway with how many in your group will be attending (we want to prepare enough food!); and Sign up to bring something to contribute to the taco fixin’s.
TALENT SHOW
After feasting on your delicious tacos, either sit back and enjoy the show OR get your act ready for your performance! Anyone of any age can sign up to share their talent …consider singing, dancing, telling a story, reciting poetry, magic tricks (please refrain from the sawing someone in half trick), putting on a skit, playing a musical instrument, animal acts, juggling, etc. We have a lot of creative and talented folks here at St. Mark, so the entertainment that day should be fantastic! Add your act to the sign up sheet.
DESSERT AUCTION
After the Talent Show, we’ll have a fun (and rewarding for the highest bidders!) dessert auction. Remember, the funds collected will be donated to K.I.N.D.
So …Decide how you will be involved in this wonderful day of fun and fellowship for a good cause, and sign your name on the lists!
