Please join us in our “new” sanctuary on February 13 at noon and 7pm as we begin our Lenten Journey with Ash Wednesday. We will have services in our new church in the round. Thanks to all the people who helped move the liturgical furniture and create a beautifully crafted expression of the season. We are using the traditional color of purple for this season, to symbolize our inward journey of repentance with our face toward the cross, sitting in its ever growing shadow, as the days of spring lengthen and we seek and yearn for resurrection. We know the rest of the Story, so we know Easter will come! But, this is a wonderful opportunity to assess who we are and how we might more fully follow Jesus. We also have adjusted the sanctuary to be a church in the round for this season. How might this new configuration “shape” who and how we are as a community, with each other, and the world around us? What centers us? Who is our neighbor? We will have Lenten Midweek Soup suppers and Services on Feb. 20 and 27th, and March 6, 13, and 20th to reflect on these questions, and more. Soup is at 5:45pm and worship is at 6:30pm. Come join us as we look to, and through, the Cross, and come full circle to a New Life in Christ. See you in (the) church (in the round)!
