For the third year, St. Mark is providing Thanksgiving baskets for needy families at Mountain View Elementary school. We have committed to 30 Thanksgiving food baskets. You can sign up to buy a whole basket to bring to church either November 11th or the 18th. DO NOT BRING FROZEN GOODS TO THE CHURCH DURING THE WEEK AS THERE IS NO FREEZER SPACE! If a whole basket is too much, you can purchase a frozen turkey or pumpkin pie or canned goods! Here is a list for a complete basket:
- 1 frozen turkey and an aluminum pan to cook it in
- 2-3 packages of prepared stuffing
- 5 pounds of potatoes or a large box of instant potatoes
- 1 pound butter
- 1-2 large cans of sweet potatoes or yams
- 2-3 cans of green beans or corn
- 1 can black olives
- 1 Pumpkin pie (frozen)
- 1-2 packages of Turkey gravy mix
- 1-2 cans of cranberry sauce
- Anything else fun that you would like to add!
Let’s all pitch in to give 30 Mountain View families a great Thanksgiving! If you have any questions please call Gail F.
