As part of the new Sunday School format, on October 30, Amy B led the 1st-6th graders through a lesson on “Music and Creation”. To represent each of the days of Creation, Amy chose 2-3 songs on her laptop for the kids to listen to. After Amy read the description of the day from the Bible, and they listened to the songs, each voted on which one best represented that day. There was a lot of discussion and involvement during the voting. The kids sometimes chose songs with words, sometimes just instrumentals. As a bonus to this lesson, Amy will record a CD including all songs that were chosen, in order of days of Creation, and distribute them to the kids. What a great way to represent our St. Mark kids’ interpretation of “Creation by Music”.
